Football survey results

Results from a survey asking football players, parents and community members whether the Lake Region football program should be moved from Class B to Class C and other questions are as follows:

• Who took the survey — football player (22), community member (51), student (15) and parent of a football player (26). There were 114 respondents.

1. Would you support adopting a Class C Schedule for the 2012 season? 76 Yes, 38 No.

2. Are wins and losses important to you? 81 Yes, 33 No.

3. Is post-season play important to you? 63 Yes, 51 No.

4. Do you feel continuing to play in Class B would further jeopardize student/athlete participation? 60 Yes, 53 No.

5. Would an improved win/loss record, even though our team would not be eligible for post-season play, increase student/athlete participation? 83 Yes, 31 No.

6. Would an improved win/loss record, even though our team would not be eligible for post-season play, increase attendance at games? 85 Yes, 28 No.

7. By playing a Class C schedule do you believe student/athlete injuries would decrease? 43 Yes, 71 No.

8. Do you believe school morale would improve by playing a Class C schedule? 63 Yes, 50 No.
