HIRAM — Florence P. “Tillie” Kimball, 95, of Hiram died peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at her home.

She was born in Westbrook on Feb. 7, 1919, a daughter of Clyde C. and Dorothy H. (Rankin) Page. She attended local schools and graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1937. She married Leland C. Kimball on Oct. 23, 1941.

Tillie was a bookkeeper for Perkins Garage in Fryeburg for several years. Later, she was a bookkeeper for Kimball Supply Co. for 35 years. She was always a devoted homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She always enjoyed attending her children’s events.

Tillie was also very civic minded in the Hiram community. She was treasurer of the Hiram Village Cemetery for many years and a member of the Hiram Women’s Club for 67 years. She was a member of the Hiram Community Club since 1952, a longtime trustee of the Hiram Development Association, and a member of the Hiram Historical Society. She was financial secretary of both the Hiram Congregational and the Hiram Community Churches. She had also been a member of the Pythian Sisters and was a bingo enthusiast for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leland C. Kimball; a son, Robert L. Kimball; a brother, Stanley C. Page; and a sister, Arlene Hebert.

She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla E. Howard of Hiram; her son, Kenneth L. Kimball of Hiram; a brother, Gordon H. Page of Woburn, Mass.; and three grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours were held on Wednesday, June 18, at the Watson, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple Street, Cornish. A graveside service will be Thursday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at the Hiram Village Cemetery (next to the Library). Rev. Robert Boyer will officiate.
