KEZAR FALLS — Florence M. “Tillie” Huber, 85, of Kezar Falls (Porter) died on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Casco after a long illness.

She was born in Freedom, N.H. on Jan. 16, 1932, a daughter of Norman and Gladys (Sargent) Eastman. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Porter High School. She married Kendrick B. Huber on Jan. 7, 1954.

Tillie taught dance classes in Boston in her early years. After marrying Kendrick B. Huber, she worked at Vulcan Electric in Porter for a few years. She also worked several years in a local catering and wallpapering business along with her lifelong friend and neighbor, Hope Stacey. She was an amazing cook, particularly her chocolate chip cookies, enjoyed gardening, sewing and making Christmas decorations for the local church. Tillie loved going shopping and she loved to play cards, especially poker. Above all, she was always a devoted homemaker, a loving wife, mother, and was the best loving grandmother ever!

Tillie is predeceased by her parents; as well as several siblings.

Surviving are her husband, Kendrick Huber of Porter; her son, Eric Huber of Portland; two sisters, Madeline “Maddie” Rossignol of Casco (formerly Parsonsfield) and Elizabeth “Betty” Maddocks of Casco (formerly South Hiram); one brother, Norman Eastman Jr. of Conway, N.H.; her beloved three grandsons; as well as many nieces and nephews.
