Evelyn R. (Walsh) Noyes, 86

 

WINDHAM — Evelyn R. (Walsh) Noyes, 86, of Windham, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Evelyn was born into the loving family of Ellen and Patrick Walsh of County Galway, Ireland, where she lived until the age of 19. She bravely came to the United States in 1949 with her sister, May, to join her sister, Bridgette. She married Donald (Bobo) Noyes in 1953 in Boston, Mass. Together, they raised six children and settled in Windham.

Evelyn enjoyed many hours in her garden. She was a faithfully devoted parishioner and member of the Women’s Guild at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Family was of the utmost importance to her and her eight siblings were so dear to her. As she reunites with her brothers, John and Patrick, sisters May and Bridget, she will be greatly missed by Katherine Melville, Peter Walsh and Marjorie Ford. She was a strong, caring and supportive wife and mother and will be desperately missed by her husband of 63 years Bo; children Donald of Naples, Sharon Parritt of Windham, Ellen Larrabee of Smithville, N.J., Judi Joy of Portland, Kevin Noyes of Raymond and Michelle Noyes of Portland; her 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also a lovely aunt and will be missed by all her nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 919 Roosevelt Trail, Windham. Interment will be private.
