HIRAM — Eva Rose Kollander, 70, formerly of Hiram, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at Fryeburg Health Care Center surrounded by her family.

She was born in Gloucester, Mass. on Sept. 14, 1944, the only daughter of Floyd and Esther (Dorman) Morris.

Eva married Larry G. Kollander Sr. on March 7, 1965. They raised five children together and were married for 40 years before his passing in 2007. She was a devoted homemaker most of her life, although she did work briefly at Gorton’s Fisheries in Gloucester, Mass., as well as some North Conway area hotels.

Eva was very dedicated to her family and loved family gatherings, holidays and going out to eat.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Farrell, Elliott, William and Russell Morris.

Surviving are her children: Kendra Nadeau of Cornish, Lesa Kollander of Bridgton, Larry Kollander Jr. of Hiram, Lonnie Kollander of Hiram and Forrest Kollander of Bridgton; a brother, Robert Morris of Newmarket, N.H.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Eva was a true fighter and was a 14-year breast cancer survivor. She touched the lives of many and will be missed by all.
