Ethel Oddi

GRAY — Ethel McLellan Oddi, 83, of Gray passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Mercy Hospital surrounded by family after a long illness.

She was born in Windham on Aug. 8, 1933, the daughter of Horace J. and Thelma P. McLellan. She attended Windham Schools.

She was employed by B&M Beans, W.T. Grant, Kings and Ames dept. stores. She was a member of Deering Chapter #59 O.E.S., Good Sam Club, an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed knitting hats and mittens for family and friends.

She is survived by three sons, Peter A. Oddi of Rochester, N.H., Mark A. Oddi of Gray and Paul J. Oddi of Bridgton; a brother, Raymond McLellan; a sister, Laura Rhodes; five grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 64 1/2 years, Dominic A. Oddi; a brother, Wesley McLellan; two sisters, Marion McLellan and Grace Merry.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home followed by a committal service at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress Street, Portland.
