Ethel C. Pearson

NAPLES — Ethel Conklin Pearson, 101, of Naples died Monday night at Ledgewood Manor in Windham.

She was born in Providence, R.I. on Aug. 29, 1909 a daughter of Richard N. Conklin and Mabelle Wardwell Conklin.

She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, Edes Falls Sewing Circle, Calvary Community Church in Harrison and had dual membership in the Eastern Star and was a life member of the Pondicherry chapter in Bridgton and the Quinobeguin Chapter in Massachusetts. Ethel moved to Naples in 1970 and worked at the Bridgton Hospital and later at the Crooked River Elementary School library. She also was a volunteer at the children’s library at the Naples Village Public Library.

Ethel was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Robert Conklin as well as her husband Nils Harvey who passed away on May 18, 1984.

Surviving are her son Carl of Naples; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road in Casco. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Edes Falls Cemetery in Naples.
