RAYMOND — Ethan Robert Levesque, 72, died on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at his home in Raymond.

He was born in Portland, on Aug. 27, 1943, the son of Raoul and Alice (Theriault) Levesque.

Ethan grew up in Portland on Munjoy Hill and attended local schools. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country, stationed in Texas, from 1962-1964, as an aircraft mechanic. When his service was complete, he moved to Florida and worked for Bell Telephone, again as a mechanic. He would eventually start work for Portland Transit before going to school in order to become a driver for Greyhound. Throughout his career, Ethan had also been a truck driver for Cypress out of Florida and Sebago/Pacific out of Naples; a worker/leader at the Portsmouth Naval Yard; and most recently a flagger of New England Safety.

Ethan was a member of Preble Lodge #143 A.F. & A.M. in Sanford, a Kora Shriner, where he drove in the Renegades out of Lewiston, and a member of the Valley of the Lodge in Portland. In his spare time, Ethan loved to deer hunt, freshwater fish, snowmobile, and go ATVing. He also loved to tell a good story to anyone who would listen.

Ethan is survived by his wife of over 34 years, Jacqualine; son, Jeff Levesque of Eustis, Fla.; daughter, Tracey Able of Lake Wales, Fla.; stepchildren, Richard Demers of Eustis, Fla. and Renee Johnson of Acton; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ethan is predeceased by a grandson; and his siblings, Raymond and Bernard Levesque, and Alice Edgerly.
