AUBURN — Ermatrude S. Andrews, 87, passed away on Saturday, Sept 10, 2016 in Auburn.

She was born on March 12, 1929 to Thomas and Theresa (Pierce) Snow in Caribou, where she was raised. She graduated from Caribou High School in 1946. During high school, she worked as an administrative assistant for the Bird’s Eye plant, she also worked in secretarial positions for the Caribou and Limestone School District, as well as for the Town of Caribou as an administrative assistant. She then began her banking career in Dixfield at Maine National Bank then to MidMaine Savings Bank in Auburn. She was the branch manager at the Mechanic Falls branch for MidMaine Savings Bank from which she retired.

During her retirement years, she worked for TD Bank in back office operations until her full retirement at the age of 80.

She is survived by her sisters, Helen Raymond and Pauline Doolittle of Portland; daughter, Melanie Brow of South Carolina; sons, Philip Andrews of Casco and Timothy Andrews of Casco; four grandsons, three granddaughters, and nine great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband, Frederick H. Andrews; her parents; brothers, Paris J. Snow and T. Reginald Snow; and sons, Michael Andrews and Todd Andrews.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 16, at Chandler Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 26 West Dwinal Street, Mechanic Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lions Club Eyeglass Program.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Caribou.
