Erald Kilkenny Sr.

Erald Charles Kilkenny Sr., 80, of Bridgton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at his granddaughter’s home surrounded by loved ones.
He married the love of his life, Anita, when he was only 18. They shared nearly 60 years together. They raised their two children, Erald Jr. and Shirley, on a farm in Guilford, Conn. There he provided a wonderful life for his family. His love for farming and animals gave him great joy. In 1980 they moved to Bridgton, where he worked at the Pleasant Mtn. Moc shoe shop until his retirement.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved nature and sports, especially the Red Sox. Family was everything to him. He was a role model to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his compassion, strength and infectious smile and dimples.
Erald is predeceased by his parents, Roger C. Kilkenny and Jessi L. Williams; and his wife , Anita L. Bennett.
He is survived by his brothers, Rodney and Sheldon Kilkenny of Madison; his son Erald Jr. and his wife Gena of Woolwich; his daughter Shirley Greeley and her husband Jay of Casco; his grandsons, Erald III and his wife Norma of Ohio, and Justin Conforte and his wife Danielle of Naples; granddaughter Corrin Conforte, also of Naples; five great-grandchildren; and many other family members.
