Eleanor E. Farrington, 77

LEWISTON — Eleanor E. Farrington, 77, of Lovell, died early Sunday afternoon, June 25, 2017, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born on Sept. 12, 1939, in Bath, a daughter of Robert and Cordelia (Wallace) Mains and attended local schools.

On Oct. 26, 1957 Eleanor married Robert Farrington.

Early in life she worked in the laundry at Farrington’s Camps in Lovell, and went on to work as a nurse’s aide at Fryeburg Health Care Center. After her work as a nurse’s aide, she returned to work at a summer camp, retiring from Camp Tapawingo in Sweden.

She was a former member of the Lovell VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Fran Adams and her partner, Paul Mulherin of Fryeburg; former son-in-law, Gregory Adams and his partner, Wendy Smith of Sweden; two grandchildren, Robert Adams and his fiancée, Shelby Denmeade of Fla., and Karen Wodicka and her husband, Hank of Fla.; siblings, Ann Decato and her husband, Albert, Barbara Mains, and Roger May and his wife, Deborah, all of N.H. She was predeceased by her husband Bob on June 25, 2004 and a sister, Frances Barnum.
