Eleanor Reardon

WESTBROOK — Eleanor Charles Reardon, 94, of Westbrook, died on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at The Barron Center in Portland.

She was born on March 2, 1922, one of nine children of Splendora and Vincenzo Cialini.

She was predeceased in 1999 by her husband Philip J. Reardon, whom she married in 1950. She was a wonderful loving presence for her husband, six children, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Eleanor was known for her generosity to charities, and working to give and help others through sewing, making quilts, homemade tomato sauces, and cooking or baking pies and Italian cookies for everyone.

She is survived by six children, Philip J. Reardon Jr. of Gorham, Linda A. Miller of Rockland, Michael C. Reardon of Casco, Julie M. Lemieux of Porter, Richard A. Reardon of Standish, and Anthony P. Reardon of Livermore Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, May 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 673 Stevens Avenue, Portland. Interment will be at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery in South Portland. Online condolences can be given to the family at: www.jonesrichandhutchins.com
