NAPLES — Eleanor “Ellie” C. Lashua, 78, of Naples, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Mercy Hospital after a long illness.

She was born in South Boston, Mass., the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Booth, and lived in Weymouth, Mass., prior to moving to Kennebunk, where she worked as a special educator until her retirement.

Upon retirement, Eleanor moved to Naples, where she volunteered at a soup kitchen and enjoyed spending time at the lake, with her family and many friends.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 58 years, Russell A. Lashua Sr.; her daughter, Suzanne Lashua; her two sons, Russell A. Lashua Jr. and Brian Lashua; her granddaughter and her two grandsons.

Visiting hours were held on Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road, Casco. A Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bridgton. Online condolences may be left for the family at: hallfuneralhome.net
