Edward S. Trebilcock

PORTLAND — Edward S. Trebilcock, 70, of Otisfield, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, in Portland, after succumbing to a complicated series of illnesses.

He was born on Feb. 15, 1940, the son of Edward L. and Winifred (Pottle) Trebilcock.

Ed is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, as well as a devoted and beloved teacher in the Oxford Hills area, where he taught history for 33 years. Ed treasured his family and was committed to his community throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife Carol; four sons, Scott Trebilcock of Raymond, Ted Trebilcock of Topsham, Toby Trebilcock of Mystic, Conn. and Ben Trebilcock of South Paris; two brothers, Steve Trebilcock and Denny Trebilcock; as well as his four cherished grandchildren.

A memorial Mass was held on Saturday, Nov. 20, at Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church, 117 Elm Street, Mechanic Falls. A reception was held immediately following the Mass at the Parish Hall. Private interment followed. Arrangements under the care of Oxford Hills and Weston Funeral Services, 1037 Main Street, Route 26, Oxford.
