Edward J. Szumowski

CASCO — Edward J. Szumowski, 79, of Casco, formerly of South Portland, passed away on Dec. 4, 2010.

He was born in Chelsea, Mass., the son of George and Caroline Szumowski. Edward served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Delta Airlines after 37 years.

Edward was predeceased by three brothers, Frank, Joseph and Walter; and a sister, Helen.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, Imelda; a son Mark; two daughters, Sharon Gribbin and Diane Libby; sister, Celia Szumowski; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Prayers will be recited at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9 at the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Church, Main Street, South Portland.
