WATERFORD — Durwood F. McAllister Sr., 86, of Waterford died Friday, June 15, 2012.

He was born in Oxford on Aug. 12, 1925, the son of Myron and Hazel Martin McAllister

He is survived by five sons, Michael and Durwood, both of Hamden, Danny of Waterford, John of South Paris and Corey of Winterport; two sisters, Eleanor Pike of Oxford and Phyllis Mekay of Lewiston; several grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Robert.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Webber Brook Cemetery, Webber Brook Road, Oxford. A time of visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, South Paris.
