The Dunning Bridge project at Pondicherry Park is 95% completed, but fundraising continues. To make a contribution, go to either the Loon Echo Land Trust website at www.lelt.org or the Pondicherry Park website at www.pondicherrypark.org

A bridge dedication will be held on Saturday, Nov. 27 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 3 p.m. Dunning family members will be on hand, and the public is invited. A reception at the Magic Lantern for the Dunning family and project donors will follow the dedication ceremony. Please RSVP to 647-8580 or lakes@leamaine.org by Nov. 24.

After the dedication ceremony, the final artistic and educational touches will be made to the bridge, including wooden carvings and labels to the 16 types of local tree species used in its construction.
