Dorothy “Dot” Lewis, 84, formerly of Bridgton, died on Nov. 14, 2010 at Fryeburg Health Care Center, where she had been a resident for three years.

She was born on Aug. 28, 1926, a daughter of Bernice Trumble. She was married to Frank Lewis, who died on July 17, 1999. She was employed at local summer camps and Bridgton Dress Shop before retiring after 20-plus years at Pleasant Mountain Moc.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Watkins of Bridgton; a son, Linwood Shackley of Litchfield; a sister, Edith Strout of Minot; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dorothy’s name to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter.

Friends are invited to share their thoughts and memories of Dot at a celebration of life at Donna’s residence in Sandy Creek on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 from 1 to 3 p.m.
