Donna Berry

Donna Marie Berry, 76, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, S.C.

Born on August 26, 1944, in Melrose, Mass., to William H. and Virginia (Mor- ton) Buckley, Donna grew up in Massachusetts and later moved to Maine living most of her adult life in Bridgton.

Donna proudly worked at the Bridgton Knitting Mill while raising her family in South Bridgton. She later began a 20-plus year career at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham from where she retired.

Donna loved spending time with family, having Sunday dinners and sitting on the porch in the summer. She moved to South Carolina in the Fall of 2019, where she was able to enjoy sitting on her patio more frequently throughout the year and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donna loved to travel! She raved about the beauties and her experience in Ireland. She enjoyed many trips to York Beach with her grade school friends, as well as her trips to Arizona and North Carolina to spend time with two of her closest lifelong friends.

No matter the season, Donna always knew the weather and was continuously prepared with the report of the day. It did not matter where her loved ones might be in the world, she was ready with an update as well as related safety reminders.

Donna was predeceased by her parents William and Virginia Buckley; her brother, William Buckley Sr.; and her husband, Howard ‘Sonny’ Berry Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Tracy Berry, Lisa Berry, Dawn and husband Dan Reiman and Melissa Berry; her nephew William Buckley Jr.; her grandchildren, Ashley and husband Dean Wheeler, Danielle Stanton, Chelsea Cross, Dylan Sprague, Halee Reiman and Grady Reiman; her great-grandchildren, Kenzie Wheeler, Maddi Robbins, Selena Rogers, Kayden Wheeler, Kameron Wheeler and Karson Wheeler; the Berry Family and longtime family friend Buster Arris.
