Donna J. Snay, 67

Donna J. Snay, 67, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, from an illness.

She was born in Lewiston, on Sept. 27, 1951, to Rudolph R. Snay and Alfreda M. (Carroll) Snay. She grew up in Durham/Lisbon Falls, where she was educated in local schools. She also lived in Auburn, Tyngsboro, Mass., and Memphis, Tenn.

Donna was always an avid learner. In 1974 she attended Plus Gray's School of Business in Lewiston. In 1989 Donna was a substitute teacher in Special Education and multiage classes. She received her ED Tech 1 certificate, working with children aged 5–20 years old until 2007 at Gray/New Gloucester, Buckfield and Turner Schools.

First and foremost Donna was a wonderful mother to her three children. In 1994 she became a Mary Kay Consultant, she also cleaned homes for many clients — this allowed her to be a stay-at-home mom during her children's young ages.

Through the years she added more schooling, in 1999 she received her Commercial Driving License from Women's Unlimited. She drove trucks and passenger buses, working a few winters at Sunday River in Bethel driving the ski buses.

In 2008 she took her real estate exam and become a licensed Realtor. She was an active broker and Realtor in Norway with the Western Maine Board of Realtors. She was licensed with Stan Tupaj at Kezar Realty in Lovell. Learning and teaching was important in Donna's life. She enjoyed reaching out to help sellers and buyers learn more about real estate for themselves.

Donna lived in Oxford Hills next to her family. She looked forward to visiting her children and grandchildren weekly, they were the light of her life. She had a few very close friends: David whom she enjoyed going to the casino with and Colleen, she always enjoyed their conversations. Donna enjoyed talking on the phone with her sister Samantha daily. In her spare time you could find Donna enjoying her gardens, swimming, or at the ocean. She enjoyed cleaning, writing and reading. Donna was an independent woman.
