Donita M. Hazelton, 54, of Bridgton died Friday, May 25, 2012 at her home.

She was born in Norway, Oct. 13, 1957, the daughter of Warren and Marie Griffin Hazelton.

Donita was very expressive and over the years developed her own language that was understood by her family and caregivers. She enjoyed her M&Ms and Pepsi.

She is survived by her parents of Westbrook; brothers and sisters, Warren Jr. of Bedford, N.H., Bethany Guion of Fitzwilliam, N.H., Lisa Collins of Norway, David of Manchester, N.H., Julie Baither of Westbrook, Megan Hazelton of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Morgan Hazelton of Ocala, Fla; several nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Cindy Leroux.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. yesterday, Wednesday, May 30, at the Church of Christ, Paris Hill Road, South Paris. Interment will be later at Pleasant Pond Cemetery, West Sumner.
