SEBAGO — Donald P. Clarke Sr., 80, of Sebago died on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010 in Scarborough. 

He was born Oct. 2, 1930 in Portland, a son to Blair M. and Nancy Morabito Clarke. He attended Portland schools and graduated from Deering High School. Don retired from the South Portland Fire Department. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was proud to be a member of the Big Buck Club of Maine. Don also enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida.

He was predeceased by a grandson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Gail S. (McAloney) Clarke; five children, Karen F. Austin of Milford, Conn., Cynthia G. Martel of Windham, Donald P. Clarke Jr., Kimberly A. Giles and Stephen B. Clarke, all of Sebago; five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at Sebago Cemetery, Hancock Pond Road, Sebago.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 170 US Route One, Suite 250, Falmouth, ME 04105.
