Donald H. MacLean, 87

Donald H. MacLean, 87, of Bridgton, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Bridgton Hospital.

He was born in Arlington, Mass., on Sept. 24, 1927, the son of Donald W. and Pauline Hay MacLean.

He worked for the railroad for 38 years. He married Barbara Bennett on Nov. 13, 1954. He was past president of the Mohawk and Hudson Chapter of the NRHS, was a board member for the Bridgton Community Center, and was a member of the Great Northeastern Railroad Foundation. He volunteered at Proctors Theatre and was a Deacon at the First Congregational Church in Bridgton.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara, of Bridgton; daughter Bonnie Krisanda; sons Scott and Donald III; grandson Mark Krisanda; four great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Smith of Concord, Calif.; nieces Sue Takata and Deborah Smith; and several cousins. He is predeceased by a grandson, Anthony Krisanda.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m., at the First Congregational Church in Bridgton.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the First Congregational Church of Bridgton, Bridgton Hospital, or Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 8 Elm Street, Bridgton, Maine 04009.
