CASCO — Don W. Ireland, formerly of Kingston, Mass., passed away peacefully on August 29th, 2015 in Scarborough after a long battle with cancer.
Don was born in Plymouth, Mass., and was a longtime resident of Kingston. He was a military veteran and a police officer for the Town of Plymouth for 30 years. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Joanne (Long) Ireland; three children, his daughter Kerin Roche of Grove City, Ohio, two sons, Brian Roche and his wife Leah of Lewis Center, Ohio, and David Roche and his companion Beth Thompson of Kingston, Mass.; three granddaughters; four grandsons; his brother Curtis; and three nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by two brothers, Stanley and Robert Ireland.
There will be no service, but a celebration of life is planned for the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Maine, 180 US Rte. One, Scarborough, ME 04074. Online condolences may be left for the family at hallfuneralhomeinc.com
