NAPLES — Delvin B. Merrill, 82, passed away June 8, 2015, at the Maine Veterans’ Home in South Paris, surrounded by his family and friends.

In his free time Delvin enjoyed touring in his 1931 Model A, as well as hunting and fishing. He spent three years as a Korean War POW and strongly supported the Naples American Legion Post #155. Delvin retired from Dielectric as a Certified Welder. He was a past Master Mason of Oriental Lodge #13, and was a founding member of the Naples Fire & Rescue, where he was a dedicated volunteer.

Delvin was predeceased by his wife Bessie and his brother John. Surviving are his two daughters, Catherine and Kim-Lea; his son Richard; his companion Barbara; his sister Kathleen; his brother Curtis; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m., on June 15, 2015, at Hall Funeral Home in Casco. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., on June 16, 2015, at Murch Cemetery in Casco, with a reception to follow at the Naples American Legion Post #155, 26 Casco Road, in Naples.
