OTISFIELD — David Milton Wakefield, 73, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at his home following a struggle with cancer.

He was born to Everett and Frances Wakefield on Jan. 12, 1944. He grew up in Sweden and attended schools in that area. He lived in Otisfield most of his life and was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed western movies, farming and fishing. He had many friends and a dog named “Whitey,” which he was very fond of.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur of Harrison and Kenneth of Locke Mills; and a sister, Ann of Naples.

He is survived by two daughters, Marcie and Donna Wakefield of Harrison; and a son, David Billings of Rumford; sisters, Donna Corson of Casco and Phyllis Bedard Adams of Rumford.
