PAULSBORO, N.J. — David Leslie Szott, 64, formerly of Lisbon Falls, died Thursday, June 16, in Paulsboro, N.J.

He was born in Lewiston, Nov. 11, 1946, the son of Henry and Elizabeth Parker Szott. After graduating from Lisbon High School, David joined the U.S. Navy. David served on the USS Bon Homme Richard during the Vietnam War. David had previously lived in California, Washington State, and New Jersey, working as a welder when he returned to Maine.

Surviving are his father, Henry Szott of Augusta; a brother, Paul Szott of Harrison; two sisters, Pamela White of Boothbay Harbor and Debra Vigue of West Gardiner; an aunt and uncle; and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held. Interment with military honors will be in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal Street, Brunswick.
