WATERBORO — David E. Charland, 55, of Waterboro, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Maine Medical Center in Portland surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He was born in Biddeford on May 26, 1960, the son of Armand and Lorraine (Court) Charland of Limerick.

David was a graduate of Massabesic High School. After graduation, he was employed at the York County Sheriff’s Department as a correction officer, and most recently was a truck driver and foreman for Genest Concrete for many years.

He was a member of the Sanford Elks and the Lafayette Clubs. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, NASCAR, going to KI Camp and spending time with family and friends. He loved his country music, dancing, and Conway Twitty was his favorite.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his loving companion and wife, Diane Charland of Waterboro; seven siblings, Richard and Paul of Waterboro, Ronald of Buxton, Diane Paul of Biddeford, Pamela Crepeau of Naples, Kathy Perron of Biddeford and Karen Souliere of Biddeford; stepdaughters, Nicole Brochu, Laurie Cloutier, Carrie Sennesael and Cristie Phinney; nine stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Jeffrey Charland.
