Daves Slagle

NAPLES — Daves Maxton Slagle, 85, of Naples, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

He was born on April 28, 1933, to parents Harry and May Slagle.

He was a member of Rotary, as well as the PAMPA (Precision Aerobatics Model Pilots Association) Hall of Fame.

Daves enjoyed flying and building R/C aircraft.

He attended Burbank Senior High in Burbank, California.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957, and worked as a mechanical engineer for many upstart companies in Southern California.

Predeceasing him were his wife, Jeaneane Slagle, and both parents. Surviving him are his daughter, Ginger and her husband Edward Throgmorton of Naples; grandsons Max Throgmorton of Naples, and Brett Throgmorton of Bridgton; and his granddaughter Katie Throgmorton of Naples.

A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 14 in Camden.
