CASCO — Dale W. “Pup” Eldridge, 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2017, with his family by his side.

He was born April 22, 1950, in Casco, where he spent his entire life.

Dale had a zest for life, and enjoyed many activities. He was very active in basketball in high school, setting records along the way. He played softball for many years, making a number of lifelong friends. He had an immense passion for Corvettes. He enjoyed spending time with his family at his second home in Bradenton, Fla.

Dale started his career as a barber in Falmouth, and later worked at Parker Nichols in Portland, until his retirement.

Dale loved the outdoors — fishing and hunting with his son-in-law, racing go karts with Zachary, snowmobiling, trail riding, and spending his summers at Mac’s Camping area.

Dale loved his family fiercely. You could always find him at one of his grandson’s sporting events and spending time with his loving companion Pat.

Dale is predeceased by both of his parents, Willis and Marian Eldridge. He is survived by his fiancée Pat Oliver of Casco; first wife Sandy Eldridge of Naples; daughter Jaime Campbell and husband Adam of Raymond; grandchildren Zachary, Logan, Brayden, and Noah; sister Barbara Thompson and husband Andrew of Westbrook; brother David Eldridge and wife Diana of Naples; sister Caroline Hall and husband Loren of Casco; sister Robin Edwards and husband Joey of Harrison; sister Linda Morton of South Paris; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved fur babies, Sheba and Colby.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., at Lakeside Cemetery in Casco Village, on Thursday, Aug. 24, followed by a gathering for family and friends at his daughter’s home. Online condolences may be left for the family at hallfuneralhome.net
