SWEDEN — Dale Hannen of Sweden recently passed away at the Androscoggin Hospice in Auburn after complications from a stroke.

Dale was born in Kansas City, MO. He served in the U.S. Navy for 15 years and for the past 27 years was the head of maintenance at Camp Encore/Coda in Sweden, where he also taught model rockets.

There will be a graveside committal service with military honors on Monday, Oct. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.

A memorial celebration of Dale’s life is planned for the summer of 2013 at Camp Encore/Coda, where he will be sorely missed by his entire camp family.
