AUBURN — Cynthia J. “Cindy” Magill, 64, of Bridgton, formerly of Franklin, Mass., died early Friday morning April 28, 2017, at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Aug. 25, 1952, in Rockford, Illinois, a daughter of John and Mary (Dodd) Magill. She attended various schools early in her youth, but graduated from Mattapoisett High School in Mass. She went on to nursing school, graduating from the Deaconess School of Nursing as an R.N.

Cindy worked in healthcare at various institutions including New England Deaconess Hospital, Norwood Hospital and the Thomas Upham House in Medfield.

She and her longtime companion, Roger Lee, retired to Maine in 2014, to a log cabin that they had built on Long Lake years ago.

Cindy enjoyed crossword puzzles, mind-teasers, flying with Roger, and eating the fine dining treats that he whipped up in the kitchen, and considered herself to be a root beer float connoisseur.

She is survived by her beloved Roger of Bridgton; her children, Kristin Del Bene of North Attleboro, Mass., Beth Hayward of Ashland, Mass., and John Hayward of Millis, Mass.; grandchildren, Krystopher Hayward, Sarah Del Bene, Rhianna Del Bene, Ayronn Hayward, Delia Hayward, and Joey Hayward; one great-grandchild, Tre Del Bene; siblings, Linda Schneider, Katheline Briggs, Rhonda Little, Darla Elliot, Sandra Ling, Bob, Dave and John Magill; Roger’s father, Richard Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Deborah Magill.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, May 4, at the Chandler Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Bridgton. A gathering and celebration of her life will be held in Massachusetts from 1 to 5 p.m., May 27, at the Primavera Restaurant, 20 Pleasant St., Millis, Mass. Gifts may be given in her memory to the Androscoggin Hospice House, 236 Stetson Rd., Auburn, ME 04210.
