FRYEBURG — The following is a partial listing of incidents handled by the Fryeburg Police Department from January 11 through 17, 2010, as reported by Chief of Police Philip Weymouth:


Monday, January 11: 7:45 a.m. An officer responded to a burglar alarm on Dearborn Drive that was determined to be unfounded.

10:44 a.m. An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity at Fryeburg Academy on Main Street.

12:04 p.m. Fryeburg Police assisted another agency on Bel-Air Estate Road, and peace was restored.

Tuesday, January 12: 11:45 a.m. Fryeburg Police assisted another agency on Farnsworth Road.

1:35 p.m. An officer responded to a burglar alarm on Dearborn Drive that was determined to be a false alarm.

6:05 p.m. A motor vehicle stop on Main Street resulted in a summons for failing to obtain a driver’s license being issued to a 31-year-old man from Brownfield.

Wednesday, January 13: 9:50 a.m. Fryeburg Police assisted another agency on North Fryeburg Road.

1:08 p.m. A theft on Morningside Road was reported, and a report was taken.

5:30 p.m. A harassment complaint at a business on Main Street was investigated.

Thursday, January 14: 1 p.m. Fryeburg Police assisted Fryeburg Rescue at Fryeburg Academy on Main Street.

3:45 p.m. A report of suspicious activity on Portland Street was referred to another agency.

7:11 p.m. Fryeburg Police assisted another agency on “A” Street, and a report was taken.

Friday, January 15: 1:30 p.m. An officer responded to a disturbance at the C.A. Snow School on Portland Street.

3 p.m. An officer responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 302, and a report was taken.

9 p.m. A report of juvenile offenses at the American Legion Hall parking lot on Bradley Street was taken care of by the responding police officer.

11:59 p.m. A motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Main and River Streets resulted in a 53-year-old man from Center Conway, N.H., being arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant.

Saturday, January 16: 9:15 p.m. Juvenile offenses at the American Legion Hall parking lot on Bradley Street were taken care of by the responding police officer.

10:55 p.m. A motor vehicle stop on Route 5 just past the Canal Bridge resulted in the arrest of a 46-year-old man from Sweden who was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant, operating a motor vehicle with an expired driver’s license and possession of marijuana.

Sunday, January 17: 10:23 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen at a gas station on Main Street.
