Cora Emily Pelissier, 89, of Bridgton, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at Bridgton Hospital.

She was born in Randolph, Mass. on August 20, 1924, the daughter of Arthur Howard and Cora Wheeler Holbrook. She graduated from Thayer Academy in Braintree, Mass. and Colby College in 1946. She married Bruce Pelissier on June 26, 1954.

She had been a teacher for 37 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Congregational church. She enjoyed bird-watching and spending time with family and friends. She started coming to Kamp Kozy on Highland Lake in the 1930s. She and her husband moved from Mass. to Maine three and a half years ago. She is survived by two sons, Scott and Kent; and three granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce on Nov. 26, 2012.
