Claudia M. Graves

NORTH CONWAY, N.H. — Claudia M. Graves, 70, of Fryeburg, passed away at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway on Nov. 24, 2010, peacefully, with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston on April 25, 1940, the daughter of Vivian and Erma (Rich) Hatch. She was raised in North Waterford, where she graduated from Gould Academy in 1958, and then moved to East Conway, N.H., where she married Richard Graves of East Conway in June of 1958.

She was an avid gardener and deeply enjoyed spending time with her family, baking for the holidays, and in her free time she enjoyed doing many crafts. She was always there to lend a hand, listen, or just give love to whoever needed it. Also, in her final years loved to volunteer at her church, the New Church of Fryeburg. Her doors were always open to her children’s friends. Her fondest memories were spent vacationing at Cape Cod, Mass., with her children.

She is survived by her mother, Erma Hatch of Norway; two sisters, Linda Hatch of Norway and Sandra Bumpis of South Paris; her children, Sallie Bolduc of East Conway, Laurie Lundblad of Conway, Vicki Graves of East Conway, Julie Fox of Center Conway, Lisa Butters of Center Conway, Robin Brett of Fryeburg, Susan Graves of Fryeburg, and Bill Jackson of Baldwin; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her father, Vivian Hatch; and her son, Michael Graves.

Visiting hours were Sunday, Nov. 28, at the Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 29, at the New Church of Fryeburg with a remembrance of her life.
