Cindy A. Reichert

GRAY — Cindy Ann Reichert, 49, died on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at a Portland hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Cindy was born in Portland on Feb. 21, 1964, the daughter of Clarence and Sherrell Lorrain Swift. She loved family times and she would plan trips and get the family to go to places such as Fort Williams, Snow Falls, Lands End and York’s Wild Kingdom or just cookouts. These were the times in which she was the happiest.

Cindy was kind, warm and very loving and would help others out even if it meant going without. She was a very deserving and giving woman.

Cindy adored her nieces and nephews. She would always have a hug and smile for them and always looked out for them with her friendly advice. Cindy opened up her home and heart for them. She loved to cook and would love others to be her tasters.

Cindy had a loud and boisterous laugh. You could hear her down the hall and her smile was contagious.

Cindy was previously employed as a receptionist for Martin Point Health Care Center in Falmouth, where she graciously greeted everyone.

She was predeceased by her father, Clarence Swift in 1980.

Survivors include her mother, Sherrell Kane of Casco; sisters, Barbara Vaughn of Casco, Debbie Chaplin of Naples, Patty Swift of Limerick and Michelle Dunn of Oxford; brother, Robert Swift of Gorham; her five grandchildren; and 11 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, at 1:30 p.m., at the Dolby & Dorr Funeral Chapel, 76 State Street, Gorham. Online condolences may be sent to www.dolbyfuneralchapels.com
