Chester Buck

BRIDGTON — Chester L. “Chet” Buck, 65, of Stoneham, died unexpectedly Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Bridgton Hospital.

He was born in Norway on April 13, 1952, a son of Carroll “Squeak” and Patricia Ann “Pat” (Holt) Buck. He started school in Bethlehem, N.H., and later went through the Fryeburg school system, graduating from Fryeburg Academy in 1971.

As a high school student he worked at Pleasant Mountain in Bridgton. He later worked at the Fred P. Saunders mill in Bridgton before getting into construction beginning in Connecticut and later in Maine, some of which time he worked alongside his brother, Terry. During some down time, he attended culinary school and later worked in residential carpentry in the Lovell and Fryeburg areas.

Chet loved his rock and roll music loud and his motorcycles and hot rods fast. He was a member of the Wolf Pack and Rte. 26 Uptown Cruizahs car clubs.

He is survived by his siblings, Terry Buck and his wife, Mary Jane of Turner, Carroll Buck Jr. and his significant other, Dawn Kidder of North Waterford, Vickie Pike and her husband, Steve of South Waterford, and Cynthia Fox and her husband, Peter of Stoneham; five nieces; two nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Squeak, on Aug. 4, 2005, and his mother, Pat on Sept. 8, 2015.
