Cheryl Martin

GORHAM — Cheryl Donna Plummer Martin, 74, passed away surrounded by her family at the Barron Center in Portland on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018.

Cheryl was born Feb. 27, 1944, the daughter of Frank and Ethel (Raymond) Morin. She grew up in the Brunswick area, where she received her education from local schools. On July 20, 1963, she married Rodney Plummer and together they settled in Gorham, raising their family. Cheryl was a people person and was a familiar face to many at Unum, where she worked as a cashier for Aramark for many years.

A strong woman, when Cheryl’s husband passed away in 1979, she continued to work hard and provide for her three children — Shelly, Dawn and Cory. She was a fun person who enjoyed dancing, music and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She kept an immaculate home and loved to do word searches. Cheryl will be remembered for her love of her family and her signature contagious laugh.

She is survived by her children, Shelly Craft of Gorham, Dawn Grass of Raymond, Cory Plummer of Bridgton; sisters, Trisha Morin of Gorham, and Claudia Garland of Virginia; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rodney Plummer; a brother, Raymond Morin; and sisters, Beverly Seaford and Maxine Nolan.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Windham Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 434 River Road, Windham. To express condolences or participate in Cheryl’s online tribute, please visit www.DolbyBlaisSegee.com
