Charles Loverin

Charles R. Loverin, 82, of Bridgton and formerly of Middleboro, Mass., died on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, peacefully at his home, with his wife by his side. He was the husband of Kathleen F. (Ring) Loverin.

He was born in Brockton, Mass., on June 28, 1933, a son of the late Charles I. and Anita (Nealey) Loverin. After high school he served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Upon his return he earned his Master’s in Education from Bridgewater State College.

Charlie held several positions in the Massachusetts school systems, including History Teacher, Football Coach, Assistant Principal and Superintendent.

He was a current member of the Sierra Club and the American Legion while in Massachusetts. He enjoyed hiking, camping and traveling. However, his greatest joy was spending quality time with his family.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his six children, Michael Loverin and his wife Sally of Rutland, Mass., Marc Loverin of Scituate, Mass., Andrew Loverin of Randolph, Mass., Annette Olsen and her husband Alan of Georgetown, Mass., Matthew Walsh of Taunton, Mass., and Scott Walsh and his wife Michelle of Raynham, Mass. as well as several loving grandchildren and his nephew Joseph Caddell of Steamboat, Colo. He was also the brother of the late Anita Brophy, Marguerite Caddell and Richard Loverin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at 1 p.m., at the First Congregational Church (Stone church), South Main Street, Raynham, Mass.
