Casco house fire displaces family

CASCO — A fire at a single-family home on Tenney Hill Road Monday night displaced the family living there.

Seven people were in the house when the fire broke out on the second floor June 18, and all exited the building safely.

According to Deputy Fire Chief Scott Avery, the home at 53 Tenney Hill Road was heavily damaged by the blaze that brought firefighters from Naples, Bridgton, Casco, Otisfield and Raymond to battle it. Smoke was coming out of a second floor bedroom, when firefighters arrived on scene around 6 p.m., he said.  Tenney Hill Road was closed to through traffic for two hours.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office, according to Avery.

The displaced family will be staying with relatives.
