Carolyn Fernald

CASCO — Carolyn Mae Fernald, 83, died Friday March 2, 2018 with her husband of almost 46 years by her side.

She was born on Sept. 14, 1934, the daughter of Lewis and Dorothy M. (Weeman) Robinson. Carolyn was a graduate from Potter Academy in the Class of 1954. On April 1, 1972, she married Maurice Fernald. Together, they enjoyed many happy years with each other and their loved ones. She enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, and puzzles, but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Maurice Fernald of Casco; children, Jacalyn Morgan of Louisiana, Wendy Rand of Oklahoma, Susan Leonard of New Gloucester, Stanley Douglass of Standish, Leslie Dunn of Buxton, and Rhonda Belmont of Shapleigh; a sister, Ellen Weeks of Cornish; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Arlene; and daughter, Bernadette.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 3 p.m. at the Windham Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 434 River Road, Windham.
