Brian W. Webb

WESTBROOK — Brian W. Webb, 70, of Westbrook, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Portland, the son of Dwight and Ardyth (Rand) Webb. Brian was raised in Gorham, and graduated from Gorham High School. He later graduated from the Gorham State Teacher’s College.

In his younger years, Brian was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He spent many summers with his grandparents, Edward and Rose Rand in Sherman Mills.

Brian moved to Vermont, where he lived for 27 years before returning to Maine. While in Vermont, he was a member of the Model A Ford Club and the Eagles Club. After his retirement, he returned to Maine and worked part time at Hannaford in Westbrook. He was an avid reader, enjoyed watching movies and was a Red Sox fan.

Brian is survived by his wife, Jane (Huntress) Webb of Westbrook; two sons, Jacob of Durham and Joshua Webb of Proctor, Vt.; sisters and brothers, Dauna Binder of Portland, Michael Webb of Bridgton, Deborra Lundberg of Vista, Calif. and Randy Webb of Parkland, Fla.; three grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Visiting hours were on Sunday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church Street, Westbrook, where a funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Monday. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery in the spring. Online condolences may be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com
