Saturday, Aug. 6
The sixth annual Saco River Wild Blueberry Festival and Chicken BBQ will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Masonic Hall, Portland Street, Fryeburg. The event is sponsored by the First Congregational Church of Fryeburg, UCC.

An Old Fashioned Pig/Turkey Roast and Baked Bean Suppah will be served at 5 p.m. at Back to the Past at Scribner’s Mill in Harrison, a celebration of a historic sawmill and homestead. Tickets are $8; for more information call 583-6455.

A Roast Beef Supper will be served at 5 p.m. at the Hiram Community Church, which is handicapped accessible. Cost is $8.50 for adults, and under 12, $4.
A Lobster and Chicken Salad Roll Luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Naples Methodist Church on the Green. Cost is $10 for lobster, $8 for chicken, and takeout is available.

Sunday, Aug. 7
A Chicken Barbeque supper will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. at the North Sebago Methodist Church on Route 114, North Sebago.
Saturday, Aug. 13

A Chicken Barbecue Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. along with a book sale at Brown Memorial Library in Baldwin, at the corner of Routes 113 and 107. For $7, you get barbecue chicken, potato or green salad, corn bread, drink and ice cream with topping. For more information, call 625-2360.

The Bridgton United Methodist Church is holding a public Baked Bean and Hot Dog Supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the church. There’ll also be casseroles, salads, rolls, pies, coffee and punch. A donation is requested. This replaces the supper on Aug. 6.

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on the Sweden Road in Bridgton will hold a Blueberry Pancake Breakfast, from 7 to 10 a.m. at the church.

The Lovell Masonic Hall at the corner of Routes 93 and 5 will hold its 5th annual Baked Bean Supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The menu is baked beans, hot dogs, coleslaw, biscuits, brown bread, dessert and beverages. Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under. Proceeds will benefit the Sam Noftle Building Fund to maintain and provide upkeep for the building.

Tuesday, Aug. 16
The North Waterford Congregational Church, off Routes 35 and 37, opposite Melby’s Market, will hold a Public Baked Bean Supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The menu includes baked beans, American chop suey, casseroles, salads, brown bread, rolls, beverages and homemade pies, served buffet-style. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. The last public supper of the season will be held on Aug. 30.

Wednesday, Aug. 17
The fourth and final in the series of summer breakfasts at the Wilkins Community House will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m. The breakfasts have been a tradition for 58 years. The menu is scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, donuts, coffee, tea and orange juice. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children ages 5 to 10, under 5 free. An Indoor Yard Sale will be held at the same time in the basement. For more information: 583-4673.
