CASCO — Beverly Sylvester, 63, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 24, 2015.

Beverly was a devoted teacher and loving mother. She retired from Songo Locks School in 2006, after 20 years of teaching first and second grade. Her heart was filled with pride and love seeing children grow up and succeed in life.

She enjoyed spending time with loved ones and attending outings of various types. Beverly was a member of Casco Village Church, where she enjoyed many sermons and visits from Pastor Joyce.

She was preceded in death by her mother Katie Henderson; father James Henderson; and daughter Kimberlee Sylvester.

She is survived by her son, Owen Sylvester of Fairbanks, Alaska; her sister, Trudy Jordan of South Portland; her brother, John Henderson of Linden, Ind.; many nieces, nephews, beloved family members and friends.

There will be a celebration of life held at the American Legion Hall in Naples on Sunday, Aug. 23 from 2 to 5 p.m.
