Barry E. Walsh

FARMINGTON, N.H. — Barry E. Walsh, 76, of Farmington, N.H., died Nov. 20, 2011 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

Born March 6, 1935, in Boston, Mass., he was the son of the late James Walsh and Deborah (Bean) Wentworth. He was raised in Bridgton, and graduated from Bridgton High School. Barry lived in Farmington for over 32 years, coming from Portsmouth.

Having been retired for 14 years, he worked as a painting contractor, also worked for Damart of Rollinsford, Harris Stamp Co., Cabletron, and had owned a carpet store and was a carpet installer.

He enjoyed playing golf, reading, crossword puzzles and history.

Survivors include his former wife of many years, Donna L. Walsh of Farmington, N.H.; three sons, Jesse Walsh of Bridgton, John Walsh of Portland and Steven Spinney of Farmington, N.H.; a daughter, Cynthia L. Perillie of Somersworth, N.H.; two sisters, Deborah Woodbury of Bridgton and Cathy Vizzo of Stratford, Conn.; a brother, Brian Collins of northern Maine; two grandsons and one granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Jason Michael Walsh, who passed away on Jan. 27, 2011.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at the First Baptist Church on Grove Street, Farmington, N.H. with Pastor Richard Rizzi officiating.
