HARRISON — Barbara E. Young, 68, passed away on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 after a long battle with lung disease.
She was born in Portland on July 29, 1946, a daughter of John and Christine Oliver. Barbara loved animals and most enjoyed celebrating Christmas. She was a very outspoken and outgoing woman who was known for being a loving mother and grandmother.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, James Young; her parents; her sister, Sherry Batchelder and her stepson, Jeff Young.
Surviving are two sons, James Young and John Marston; her daughter, Joyce Young; three brothers, John and Gerry Oliver and Donald Beal; four sisters, Susan Krug, Sandra Lacharite, Judy Macica and Shelia Morrison; three stepsons, John, Stephen and Robert Young; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, at Hall Funeral Home, Casco.
