AUBURN — Barbara A. Freeley, 77, of Julie Street, Poland, died on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Clover Manor Health Care.
She was born in Portland on March 8, 1937, the daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Cote) Adams. Barbara married her true love Kenwood P. Freeley on Aug. 29, 1964, and spent many wonderful years together until he passed in 2006.
Barbara was a teacher for the city of Lewiston for many years, teaching mostly at The Multi-Purpose Center (now Longley) and Jordan School. She was a very active member at The Poland Community Church. She also was very active in The Community Little Theater. She loved spending time at the family camp on Sebago Lake, especially taking rides on her pontoon boat, she also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, her pets and teaching arts and crafts to children.
She leaves her son, Kenwood G. Freeley of Raymond; a niece and a nephew.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27, at Poland Community Church, 1208 Maine St., Poland, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A funeral will follow at 12 p.m. at the church. Committal will be held in the spring at Highland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fortin Group Funeral Home, Cremation & Monument Services, 217 Turner Street, Auburn.
