Arlene P. Stone-Proctor, 83

NORWAY — Arlene P. Stone-Proctor, 83, of South Paris, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at the Norway Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Greenville on March 21, 1930, the daughter of Morgan Seeley Sr., and Aretta Urquhart Seeley. She attended Auburn schools. Arlene married Raymond Stone on April 15, 1949; he passed away after 42 years of marriage. She later married Ivan Proctor on Oct. 25, 1998, and he also passed away.

Arlene worked in shoe shops in Lewiston, was a bookkeeper for her husband’s business — Ray’s Body Shop — was a school bus driver for Oxford Hills school district and supported Ray’s racing at Oxford Plains Speedway for years. She was a past president of the Stone Smart Post 82 Auxiliary and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in West Paris.

She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles with her husband and daughter, and very much enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Arlene is survived by her daughter, Rhoda “Bunny” O’Leary of Norway; her sister, Robertine “Bobbi” O’Neal of South Paris; two grandsons, Bryan Martin of Auburn and Raymond MacGregor of Harrison; and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by both husbands; four brothers, Earl, Jimmy, Morgan Jr. and Donnie Seeley; and three sisters, Rhonda Wall, Una Mae Allen and Gerry Jacobson.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. at Oxford Hills Funeral Services, 1037 Main Street, Oxford, with interment to follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wreaths Across America program or the activity fund at the Norway Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Norway.
