WESTBROOK — Arlene Butts, 93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Rehab and Residence.

She was born in Bridgton on Aug. 18, 1924, to Herbert Pillsbury and Gleniva Wiley.

She married her childhood sweetheart, Everett Butts. They were married 62 years before his passing. She was a homemaker all her life, raising her children, including one with disabilities. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family.

She enjoyed going to cookouts, dining out, and shopping. She was known for her amazing apple pies and tapioca pudding. She always had a positive outlook on life, and loved to be with people.

Arlene was also a member of the Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church.

She was predeceased by her grandson; and her five siblings.

She is survived by her four children, Everett Butts of Florida, Barbara Lessard of Mississippi, Jeanne Denbow of Windham and Donna Wheeler of Westbrook; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
