WINDHAM — Anthony F. Webster ("Webby"), 68, of Windham, died on Sunday, April 14, 2013.

Anthony was born in Portland on May 17, 1944, to Walter and Mary (Gagnon) Webster. He grew up in the Portland area and was a graduate of Portland High School. He worked as a Union Welder with Local 537 at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, and Bath Iron Works amongst other places, and was affectionately known as "Dummy."

Anthony enjoyed many games of chance. Whether he was at the track watching the races, playing cards with friends, or spending time at the casinos, he reveled in the thrill of a good win. He was an avid baseball and Red Sox fan, and was quite a storyteller, too.

Surviving are his ex-wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Webster of Windham; two daughters, Bibiana Narcissa of Detroit and Nicole Smith of Windham; two sons, Anthony Webster of Windham and Chris Webster of Naples; his eight grandchildren; and his mother, Mary of Portland.

A celebration of Anthony's life will be held privately by his family. Care for Anthony and his family has been entrusted to the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home of Portland.

In lieu of flowers the Webster family suggests memorials be made to: The Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Rd., Scarborough, ME 04074.
